Welcoming a New Executive Director at DLC


Charlie Muessemeyer is Dogwood Literacy Council’s new Executive Director. She has worn many hats at DLC from 2007-2013; a volunteer tutor, office assistant, and Interim Director. Charlie is an experienced ESL teacher with a B.S. in elementary education from OK Panhandle State University and an MA in Religious Education from the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Let us all welcome Charlie. If you see this lady walking around town, be sure to congratulate her on her journey as the new Executive Director of DLC.

Tutor Training

Tutor Training is offered at the Dogwood Literacy Council on August 23rd from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm and on August 27th from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. All volunteer tutors are required to attend tutor training. See you there!

Beginning Spanish with Lauren!

We had very good reviews for the last Spanish classes that was recently held from October -November 2015.  Because of the increased popularity, we will be offering another Spanish class starting in January 2016.  Classes will be held every Tuesday from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm starting on January 5th.
